My husband and I have been talking and decided we HAVE to change
our lifestyle to a much healthier one (we have many unhealthy habits now and in
the past and something's gotta give). We have to do this for our children and
ourselves. I feel like I miss out on so many moments and fun activities because
of my insecurities and my weight. Events that should be fun are always started
with stress, what to wear... does this make me look fat... I feel
uncomfortable... everyone will look at me like "wow, she sure has put on
some weight." I get soooo tired of it. I want to feel healthy, I want to
look healthy, and I want to be able to walk in my closet and back out with ease
and confidence in what I am wearing. That's all...not a big request, right?! It
probably wouldn't be if I didn't have a problem with emotional eating, too many
lazy days, and an inadequate amount of will power to "Just Do It!!!"
So here it changes, from now on we do things differently. We've been
cooking some fabulous, fairly easy foods, I've joined Weight Watchers with my
mom and have been keeping track of my "points" pretty well so far, we
are also members of our local YMCA, and have put in place a weekly workout
routine.
My ultimate goal: To be healthy and lose weight, to be active, and
get my children engaged in a healthy & active lifestyle at an early age.
So, that leads me to the topic of my post; 130 x 30. I turn the big
"30" in 101 weeks (exactly) from today.... According to my doctor and
the handy online calculators, I should weigh 130ish for my height to be in a
healthy category. This gives me quite a bit of "poundage" to lose
(approx 121 lbs.) ...*I can't believe I just put that on here...kind of
liberating* :) Anyhoo, if I lose on average 4 to 5 pounds a month I should reach
my goal weight of 130 lbs by my big "30th" birthday! I can start a
new decade with my new healthy self!! Expect a big party with a very cute,
never been seen before (on me anyways or anything like it.... taking
suggestions...) dress! I can't wait! 130 here I come!!
I will post before and after shots at the end, maybe even a halfway
point picture or two. I plan to keep you all updated throughout my journey with
ups, downs, and the annoying plateaus that I know will be haunting me at some
point. Any and all encouragement is
welcome! :)
Thanks for the support everyone!
Until next time...
xo
